Booking & Reservations

How do I book an excursion?

You can book directly through our website by visiting the Excursions page, selecting your tour, and clicking "Book Now." You'll be directed to our secure booking partner to complete your reservation.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, especially during peak cruise season (November through April). Popular tours like the 27 Waterfalls can sell out quickly.

Can I book a private or custom tour?

Absolutely! We offer private tours for families and groups. Contact us with your interests, group size, and preferred date, and we'll create a custom itinerary for you.

Is there a minimum group size?

Most of our group tours require a minimum of 2 participants. Private tours can be arranged for any group size. If a tour doesn't meet the minimum, we'll offer you an alternative or a full refund.

Cancellation & Refunds

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your excursion start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable.

What if my cruise ship changes itinerary or skips the port?

If your cruise ship skips Amber Cove or changes its itinerary, you will receive a full refund. Please notify us as soon as you learn of the change.

What happens if the tour is cancelled due to weather?

If we cancel a tour due to unsafe weather conditions, you'll receive a full refund or the option to switch to an alternative excursion.

Excursion Details

Where do I meet my guide?

Our guides meet all guests at the Amber Cove cruise port exit. Look for staff holding signs with the Amber Cove Excursions logo. We'll send you detailed meeting instructions via email before your tour.

Will I get back to my ship on time?

Yes — guaranteed. We carefully plan all excursions to ensure you return to the port well before your ship's departure time. In our years of operation, we have never caused a passenger to miss their ship.

Are your guides bilingual?

Yes! All of our guides speak both English and Spanish fluently. Some guides also speak French, German, or Italian.

What should I bring on my excursion?

We recommend comfortable shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, swimsuit (for water excursions), cash for tips and personal purchases, and a camera. Specific recommendations are included in your booking confirmation email.

Are excursions suitable for children?

Many of our excursions are family-friendly! Each tour listing includes age requirements and recommendations. Beach days and cultural tours are great for all ages. Adventure tours like zip-lining and the 27 Waterfalls have minimum age requirements.

Payment & Pricing

What currency do you accept?

All tours are priced in US Dollars (USD). We accept major credit cards through our online booking system. Tips are best given in cash (USD is widely accepted locally).

Are tips included in the tour price?

Tips are not included in the tour price. If you enjoyed your experience, tipping your guide is customary and appreciated. A typical tip is $5-10 USD per person.

Do children receive a discount?

Yes, most tours offer reduced pricing for children (typically ages 3-12). Infants under 3 are usually free. Check individual tour listings for specific pricing.
